Torquay United have signed striker Gavin Tomlin on a one-month loan from League One side Dagenham & Redbridge.

The 28-year-old has been included in the Gulls' squad for Saturday's visit of Shrewsbury Town.

Torquay boss Paul Buckle said: "Gavin is something we haven't got in the squad, he's big, strong and has plenty of pace.

"He also brings extra experience and has been playing in League One, so there is genuine pedigree."

Tomlin joined the Daggers last summer having spent two years with Yeovil Town where he scored 14 times in the league.

Since moving to East London the striker has netted twice in 19 games for the League One outfit.
