Torquay United have signed Morecambe midfielder Craig Stanley on month's loan after sending on-loan winger Ashley Hemmings back to Wolves.

Stanley, 27, has made 195 appearances for the Shrimps since his 2006 switch from Hereford and has been a regular this season at the Globe Arena.

Hemmings made 11 appearances in all competitions for the Gulls.

The 19-year-old, who has played three times for Wolves, joined in October before extending his stay in December.

Torquay manager Paul Buckle told the club website: "Ashley has fallen out of the team recently and any loan deal is based on a player being involved.

"We are grateful to Wolves for letting us have the services of Ashley and wish him all the best for the future."
