Torquay United have announced they are to move their training facilities from Newton Abbot Racecourse to the old Seale Hayne College campus.
The new facility will have four full size pitches, youth training spaces, alongside changing rooms and physiotherapy treatment areas.
Torquay director Brian Palk said: "This project is the future of the club.
"There is work to do over the summer at the new training ground, but things will improve greatly in a short time."
The club said ground-staff are already working on improving the playing surfaces at the facility, and that the buildings will be given a small amount of cosmetic work.
The team are expected to start training at the site on 1 July.
