Torquay have completed the signing of striker Leon Constantine from Peterborough for an initial fee of �75,000 - a club record. The ex-Southend forward scored three goals in four league games during a loan spell at Plainmoor last month.
Posh rejected a Gulls bid a fortnight ago - but the deal is now worth a total of �100,000 depending on additional clauses, including a 25% sell-on fee.
Constantine, 26, completed the paperwork for the deal on Friday.
Constantine had moved to London Road on a free transfer in the summer after a prolific spell with Southend, but has only scored once in 12 appearances for Peterborough.
Torquay's previous record fee was the �70,000 they paid to Barry Town for striker Eifion WIlliams in March 1999.
