New Swindon signing Jon Obika is confident he can help the Robins to move away from the League One relegation zone.

Obika, 20, joined on loan from Tottenham on Tuesday and made his debut as a second half substitute in the 3-0 defeat by Leyton Orient that evening.

"I'm confident we can turn it around," he told BBC Wiltshire.

"I'm hoping to get some games and score some goals to get the team moving up the table."

He added: "We had a poor first half against Leyton Orient but it was a spirited performance after half-time.

"We need to put in strong performances from the start in every game."

Swindon are currently 21st in League One with 31 points from 30 games.
