Douglas has played in all of Swindon's 15 games so far this season
Swindon midfielder Jonathan Douglas will miss their next four games after an appeal against his red card in the 1-1 draw with Millwall was rejected.
A slow motion replay was used in his defence but the Football Association panel ruled the decision stands and he is now suspended for an extra game.
Manager Danny Wilson told BBC Wiltshire: "He's going to be a miss.
"We have the players and the ability to get on with it. Key players at times are going to be missing."
"We've got to make sure it doesn't look like we're missing him too much."
Douglas will miss Saturday's home game with Hartlepool, trips to Norwich and Tranmere and Swindon's first round game in the FA Cup, but will return for the visit of his former club Leeds to the County Ground.
