Revell has only just recovered from breaking in leg in January 2009
Swindon have completed the signing of Southend United striker Alex Revell on loan until January.
Revell, 26, cost the Shrimpers £150,000 from Brighton 18 months ago, scoring four goals in 43 games but broke his leg last season.
The forward says Swindon manager Danny Wilson sold the club to him.
"The gaffer is so positive. Within about five minutes I was already packing my bags! He was a massive part of me coming," he told BBC Wiltshire.
"Its a fresh start for me, its a massive club and good to be part of it."
Revell played in Southend's 2-1 defeat to Swindon on Saturday at the County Ground, but failed to score.
He faces competition for a place up front from the likes of Billy Paynter and fellow loan signings Tope Obadeyi and Ben Hutchinson.
"Everyone says you need four strikers at a club and that's good in the squad. You know your position is never guaranteed, you've got to work hard and perform.
"I want to come here and prove to people what I've got."
Manager Danny Wilson was pleased with his latest new face.
"He's a big unit, very mobile. I'm delighted we've got a bit more strength into our forward line.
"We've got a bit of strength in depth now and if we get suspensions or injuries we've got cover.
"We've got the players in that we wanted to, and the type of personnel that we wanted," he said.
