Swindon boss Maurice Malpas has said he will not be letting striker Simon Cox leave the club in January.
Cox, 21, has scored 14 goals this term, including two hat tricks, and won the Professional Footballers' Association's player of the month award for October.
Malpas told BBC Radio Swindon: "People can come in during the January window. If Coxy keeps on scoring goals, it is still good for us.
"Trust me on this one as well - it will be over my dead body if he goes."
He added: "I'd rather Coxy be banging the goals in as opposed to not and that [speculation] is something every club has to handle."
Cox joined Swindon from local rivals Reading for an undisclosed fee in January.
