Walsall's Banks's Stadium pitch was deemed unsuitable to play on

Referee Carl Boyeson has explained his reasons to postpone the League One game between Walsall and Swindon at the Banks's Stadium on Tuesday night.

Swindon boss Maurice Malpas was left disappointed after the game was postponed only an hour before kick-off due to snow on the pitch.

Boyeson told the Robins website: "In the interest of player safety I didn't feel the game could take place.

"I wasn't confident that the game could have got through 90 minutes."
