New Swindon Town boss Maurice Malpas is ready to get rid of some of his squad in order to bring in more new faces. He told BBC Radio Swindon: "There's one or two that we have to get out. I've made my mind up already having watched them in training and a reserve game.
"We'll have to move some out before we can bring new players in."
But Malpas did not say who he had in mind. "I don't want their names in the press. I've got to look after them even though I want them to move on."
The former Scotland international has so far made three signings since taking charge last week - on-loan Watford duo Moses Asikodi and Anthony McNamee, as well as defender Patrick Kanyuka, who arrived on Monday.
But he revealed that there has so far been no official interest shown in highly-rated goalkeeper Peter Brezovan during the January window.
"There's nothing in terms of transfer enquiries," said Malpas. "I'd like Peter to be here after the window but if somebody offers us something that suits us and suits Peter then we'll discuss it."
