Swindon hit by transfer embargo
Swindon Town have confirmed that they have been placed under a transfer embargo by the Football League.

The action has been taken against the Robins due to unpaid football bills, and the club hope to have the situation sorted by the end of the week.

It means the League One club cannot bring in any new players until outstanding bills are settled.

"We are under a transfer embargo at the moment," boss Paul Sturrock told the club's website.

"It's a difficult scenario for everybody because there are areas of the team we would like to strengthen but we are unable to at this moment."
