Sturrock took over as Swindon manager in November 2006 |
Swindon boss Paul Sturrock is looking to reduce his 29-man squad by up to eight players to meet budget demands. Town are facing financial pressure following the collapse of the proposed Best Holdings takeover last week.
And the Best Holdings-acquired trio of Ibon Arrieta, Franklin Anzite and Mauro Almeida are among those who will leave.
Sturrock said: "The football club has no money and we have gone dramatically over budget but the more we get out on loan, the easier the budget gets."
The Robins played a behind-closed-doors friendly against Cardiff on Tuesday to allow fringe players to impress a selection of managers who were invited to the game.
And Sturrock added: "I have taken steps to contact as many people as possible to try to find homes for some of our development players and for some of those that are surplus to requirements."
