Swindon midfielder Ashan Holgate has left the County Ground after making 12 appearances for the club where he came up through the youth ranks. Holgate, 20, played his last game for Swindon's first team in August 2006 and was not offered a new contract.
He had spells on loan at Conference South side Newport County and League Two outfit Macclesfield last season.
Having scored once in six appearances for the Silkmen, he could now make a permanent move to Moss Rose.
