Swansea City have taken Austrian forward Besian Idrizaj on trial at the Liberty Stadium.
The 21-year-old former Liverpool and LASK Linz front man has trained with Paulo Sousa's squad over the past few days.
"He's not quite a striker but he is an attacking player," said Swans boss Sousa.
"I know a lot about him and he is the sort of player that could fit into our squad."
Idrizaj started his career at LASK Linz in 2003 where he scored three goals in 35 appearances and won Austria's young player of the year award a year later.
He joined Liverpool in 2005 but failed to make a first-team game for the Premier League side not helped by an injury-hit first season.
Idrizaj had loan spells at Luton, Crystal Palace and Austrian club Wacker Innsbruck before being released by Liverpool last summer.
He has represented his country at Under-21 level and has scored three times in 12 international matches.
