Swans boss Roberto Martinez is on the look-out for a new keeper |
Swansea manager Roberto Martinez hopes to sign a goalkeeper this week to give experienced back-up to Dorus De Vries. Youngster Callum Hawthorne has won promotion to the senior set-up from the youth team, but Martinez admits he still needs another stopper.
"Callum has done really well and he's one we're looking at for the future, but it wouldn't be good for him to be on the bench just now," Martinez said.
"So we're looking to bring someone in, maybe in the next few days."
Last season's first-choice keeper Willy Gueret left Swansea earlier this month on a free transfer to Milton Keynes Dons, having lost his starting spot to De Vries.
Swansea had hoped to entice Liverpool's third-choice keeper David Martin to join them on loan, but that move failed.
