Spaniard Roberto Martinez will continue as captain of Swansea next season. The midfielder was thought to be on his way out of the club after manager Kenny Jackett's arrival last year.
He was left out of a number of squads, but battled on to regain his place in the side and impress Jackett with his commitment, ability and leadership.
"Roberto is a good leader, sets an example and has terrific qualities that you associate with a captain," Jackett told the South Wales Evening Post.
