Swansea are having to handle Adebayo Akinfenwa carefully because the striker has a stress fracture of the shin. Akinfenwa has scaled back training to keep him fit for matches, with Swans boss Kenny Jackett hoping to have him ready for Saturday's trip to Southend.
"We're going to have to be very careful with him for the next few weeks and we hope it will clear up," Jackett said.
"He's an important player and has made a big difference, but the stress fracture has been very, very sore."
