Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell wants Anfield goal

Sunderland striker Fraizer Campbell says extending his goalscoring run at Anfield on Sunday would mean so much he "might pass out."

Campbell scored his third goal in four games against Aston Villa on Wednesday.

Liverpool are next up for Sunderland and as a Manchester United supporter and former player Campbell is desperate to score against their fiercest rivals.

Campbell, 22, told BBC Newcastle: "It'd mean loads to me, I don't know what I'd do but I might pass out."

He added: "I've got a lot of Manchester United fans in my family so they would be more than happy."

Campbell, who joined Sunderland from United in July 2009, believes his confidence has received a major boost from the goals he has been scoring.

"It just comes with goals I think," Campbell told BBC Newcastle.

"A run of games has benefitted me, so it's a confidence boost in general playing football and enjoying myself."
