Sbragia wants goals shared around

Sbragia not interested in manager's job

Sunderland caretaker manager Ricky Sbragia feels his side rely too much on Djibril Cisse to find the net and must weigh in with more goals between them.

Cisse has six goals in 15 league games - almost half of the club's league total of 13 - and Sbragia is keen for other players to take responsibility.

"We need to share the workload," Sbragia told BBC Radio Newcastle.

"Kenwyne Jones is coming back from injury, Andy Reid needs to chip in and we could do with some from midfield."

The Wearsiders welcome fellow strugglers West Bromwich Albion to the Stadium of Light on Saturday and Sbragia knows his side are badly in need of a win.

WHO IS RICKY SBRAGIA?
Ricky Sbragia played for Birmingham City, Darlington and York City among his clubs
His first coaching job came with York in 1987
He then joined Sunderland in 1994 before spells with Bolton and Manchester United

In the wake of Keane's departure, Sbragia was installed as caretaker

"Neither of us can afford to lose it, (I'll be happy) if we get a point, but obviously we'll be looking to win it," he explained.

"Our home record has not been brilliant over the last couple of games and we have to address that.

"But we've got to make sure we don't get caught by a sucker-punch; where they counter-attack us and we concede which makes it very difficult for us."
