Jones (left) and Cisse are beginning to impress as a partnership
Sunderland manager Roy Keane has hailed strikers Djibril Cisse and Kenwyne Jones after their double act helped them beat Blackburn 2-1 on Saturday.
Jones hauled Sunderland level before Cisse wrapped up the three points and Keane was delighted with the blossoming partnership between the duo.
"Kenwyne and Djibril seem to be getting stronger," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"The two lads up front worked their socks off and hopefully there's goals to come from those two."
Jones arrived from Southampton in August 2007 for 6m, while Cisse is currently on a season-long loan from French Ligue 1 side Marseille.
Meanwhile Keane also rubbished rumours that circulated on Friday that he had left the club.
Newspapers and message boards have buzzed with speculation surrounding the Irishman's contract at the Stadium of Light, but Keane is adamant that he remains firmly in charge on Wearside.
"I don't know where those rumours have come from," he said.
"Obviously people have put two and two together and come up with 10.
"I've been in football long enough to know that every now and again someone is looking to stir things up or create a story.
