Murphy scored the goal which assured Roy Keane's side of their status
Sunderland striker Daryl Murphy has hailed his late winner against Middlesbrough as the most enjoyable goal of his career so far.
Murphy netted a scorcher against Wigan earlier in the season but was in no doubt which goal meant more to him.
"The goal today [Saturday] has kept us safe with virtually the last kick of the game," he told BBC Radio Newcastle.
"It was a good strike against Wigan but that one was more important to everyone here. We played for every kick."

Roy Keane's side booked their place in next season's Premier League with the win and Murphy is looking forward to the last two games and putting on a display for the fans.
"We go into our last two games knowing we're safe and we can express ourselves a bit more," he said.
"We needed that win and we knew what it would do for us. We've left it late but what a way to finish it off."
