Sunderland defender Nyron Nosworthy is hoping to put one over struggling Wigan at the Stadium of Light on Saturday. The Black Cats have lost both meetings with the Latics this season and Nosworthy wants the Wearsiders to do themselves justice this time around.
He told BBC Radio Newcastle: "They [Wigan] are not a bogey team as we've played poor twice.
"As long as we keep a clean sheet we reckon we'll create chances and come away with a victory."
Roy Keane's Sunderland have been impressive at home but have struggled to take points on their travels and Nosworthy feels the side are continuing to learn from their experiences in the Premier League.

"It's very frustrating. Games where you perform well, you look to take something out of them," he said.
"These things happen for a reason, it builds character. As a team we've got to take it on the chest.
The recent arrival of players like Phil Bardsley and on-loan Jonny Evans has seen the versatile Nosworthy return to a centre-back berth.
It has also curtailed his forward runs but the 27-year-old is happy as long as the team are succeeding.
He said: "Most of the time I feel Jonny can take a risk while I do that 'Daddy' thing and clean it up.
"I'm like a supporter when it comes to corners, but I just take it for the team."
