Kitson (left) celebrates the win against Sunderland with Thomas Sorensen
Stoke City manager Tony Pulis expects Dave Kitson to find the net regularly after scoring his first Premier League goal for the Potters on Saturday.
After failing to find the net in 13 months with Stoke, the £5.5m 29-year-old scored his second goal in the space of three days to defeat Sunderland 1-0.
"Dave's had a massive weight on him - being the record signing and not scoring," Pulis told BBC Radio Stoke.
"Fingers crossed, he'll go on and get a few goals."
"In the last couple of games he's been chipping the weight off his shoulders."
"The supporters have been brilliant to him and I've never known anything like it.
"They've never got on his back and they've always wanted him to come good."
Stoke paid Reading a club record fee for Kitson in June
New boys Robert Huth and Tuncay, signed for a combined £10m from Middlesbrough on Friday, made their Stoke debuts as substitutes against the Black Cats.
I think Robert Huth could go on to become a top, top defender
Stoke boss Tony Pulis
And while Pulis is delighted to get them both on board, he is hopeful that they will not be the last additions to his squad before the transfer deadline on Tuesday.
"Unfortunately we've had to wait until the last minute again, but we've done the deals and they're fantastic deals.
"We've got the captain of Turkey playing here, and I think Robert Huth could go on to become a top, top defender.
"I'm hoping add two or three more in all areas of the pitch, and hopefully they'll drop for us."
