Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller is to see leading surgeon Dr Richard Steadman after suffering suspected knee ligament damage whilst on international duty.
The 28-year-old is currently with the Jamaica squad for their World Cup qualifier with the Bahamas.
Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes told BBC Radio Stoke: "Ric has picked up an injury which is obviously a concern.
"It's purely precautionary at the moment, we need to find out how serious it is and what we can do about it."
Fuller has suffered knee ligament damage before, missing eight months of the 2002/03 season while at Preston.
Stoke's director of football John Rudge has flown out to the Caribbean to assess his condition.
