Delap broke his leg playing for Stoke against Sunderland |
Stoke have confirmed the permanent signing of 30-year-old midfielder Rory Delap from Sunderland. Delap, who has been on loan at Stoke since October, moved on a free transfer after agreeing a two-and-a-half year deal with the Potters.
Delap has made just two appearances for the club after breaking his leg, ironically against Sunderland.
Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes said: "Since picking up his leg injury, Rory's attitude has been superb."
Stoke boss Tony Pulis is delighted he has signed permanently.
"He has been a credit to himself for the way he has reacted to his unfortunate injury and has made a good impression on everybody at the club.
"His rehabilitation is going well and the medical staff at the club are pleased with the progress he is making."
