Manager Jim Gannon has hit out at the decision to sell Stockport County's top scorer Anthony Elding during the January transfer window. The sale of County's leading striker to Leeds and the failure to re-sign Kevin Ellison prompted the Gannon outburst.
"What you don't expect is your top scorer to be sold when you're on the point of achieving," he told the MEN.
"The plan is to get into the Championship and grow the squad by developing players," he added.
