Boston United have eased their immediate financial worries by selling striker Anthony Elding to Stockport County for a five-figure fee. Elding has agreed a deal running until June 2009 at Edgeley Park after Stockport beat off competition from two others clubs to secure the 24-year-old.
The deal means Boston's players and staff will get their December wages.
At least two more players are expected to be sold during the transfer-window to secure Boston's short-term future.
