Stockport agree McSweeney switch
Stockport County
Stockport have agreed a deal to sign attacking midfielder Leon McSweeney from League of Ireland side Cork City.

The 23-year-old has agreed an 18-month deal which will come into force when the transfer window opens after helping Cork win the FAI Cup this month.

McSweeney's move to Edgeley Park ends a second stint at Cork, where he started his career before joining Leicester, Scarborough, Hednesford and Ilkeston.

"He's had a fantastic season," boss Jim Gannon told County's website.

"I think he's everything we need to freshen up our squad."
