The players have been asked to use their Trophy success as inspiration
Stevenage coach Dino Maamria has said that he wants the squad to build on this season's FA Trophy.
He told BBC Three Counties Radio: "We are disappointed we didn't get to the play-off final, but we got the Trophy and hope to build on that next season.
"The boys have worked very hard for the last six or seven months, they have got their reward today. It's a great way to finish the season.
Stevenage beat York 2-0 at Wembley on Saturday to secure the Trophy.
Goalkeeper Chris Day said of the win: "It's fantastic, we've had a hard week this week with a lot of lows, but a fantastic way to finish the season off, a real positive to take into next year.
"It's been a great day for the whole town and great to see everyone here. The fans have been terrific too there's been lots of heartbreak this week, but now lots of smiles all round. "
Just five days before the Trophy win Stevenage had seen their promotion hopes end when they lost a 3-1 first-leg lead against Cambridge, going out to a goal in the last minute of extra-time.
Midfielder Andy Drury said: "After Monday everyone was gutted so it was hard but after we came back training on Thursday, everyone got their head round it and worked really hard on Friday to come in and put in a performance like this to take the Trophy home."
