Stimson has been at Stevenage for nearly a year and a half |
Stevenage chairman Phil Wallace has expressed his frustration at continued media speculation linking manager Mark Stimson with Football League clubs. Wallace recently refused requests from managerless Gillingham and Port Vale to speak to his in-demand manager.
"I'm getting a little tired of Gillingham's conduct after reading again that we've agreed that Mark can go," Wallace told Borough's website.
"At no time have I had discussions with them about any deal."
Stimson took over as Stevenage boss in May 2006, moving from Conference rivals Grays, and signed a new contract earlier this year, while also guiding them to victory in the FA Trophy final.

He revealed last week that Wallace had blocked Gillingham and Vale's approaches to speak to him. Wallace added: "Mark's contract is exceptionally explicit - it rewards success and spells out, in detail, the notice and compensation procedure to follow should he ever wish to leave.
"If Mark ever chose to leave, provided that the terms in the contract were met in full, there's nothing we can do about it.
"On the other hand, if a club thought they could pull a fast one and persuade an employee to leave without respecting the contract terms, we would use all the resources at our disposal to ensure such an attempt failed."
