Stevenage Borough boss Mark Stimson is set to stay at Broadhall Way despite interest from Gillingham and Port Vale. Both League One clubs were believed to be interested in approaching Stimson, 39, to fill their managerial vacancies.
But chairman Phil Wallace has blocked any move for Stimson, who is in his second season at Boro.
Stimson told the Stevenage Comet: "I'm flattered and it's an ambition of mine to manage in the Football League. Phil refused me permission and that's that."
