St Mirren manager Gus MacPherson has played down reports that he is to sign Hibernian midfielder Stephen Glass. Glass was on loan to Dunfermline last term and was poised to move permanently if the Pars had avoided relegation.
"I've been asked about Stephen Glass on numerous occasions," MacPherson told St Mirren's website.
"Let's be clear about this - Stephen Glass is a Hibs player and, as far as I'm aware, he is in Austria with the Hibs squad."
Former Portadown central defender Henry McStay is one of several players on trial with St Mirren.
Meanwhile, MacPherson has stressed that former Buddies midfielder Allan Russell, released by Partick Thistle, has been granted training facilities but is not on trial.
