Dunfermline pick up Glass on loan
Stephen Glass
Glass has also played for Aberdeen, Newcastle and Watford
Dunfermline Athletic have signed Stephen Glass on loan from Hibernian.

The left-sided midfielder, who can also play in defence, has one and a half years of his deal remaining with the Edinburgh club.

Pars manager Stephen Kenny told BBC Sport: "He's a very creative player and we probably need that creative spark a little bit."

The 30-year-old will go into the Fifers' squad for Saturday's game against Dundee United at Tannadice.

Meanwhile, Hibs manager John Collins insists he is not worried about the lack of new arrivals at Easter Road as he has full confidence in the current crop of players.

Collins has yet to add any new signings to his squad during the January window and decided against signing a couple of trialists who were at the club this week.
My scouts are constantly out on the road checking out players

Hibernian manager John Collins

"Naturally, we want to try and bring in players, but whether Hibs can bring them in just now I don't know," he said.

"It is much more difficult than people think to bring in players in January.

"If players are playing well at their clubs then the club does not want to sell or let them go and the majority of those that are available are ones that are not playing regularly for their team.

"Therefore you have a problem with players who are rusty and not match fit.

"My scouts are constantly out on the road checking out players, some get good reports but are not available and others are available at the wrong price.

"Getting the whole package of right player being available at the right price in January is not easy.

"I am not getting over anxious about things as Hibs will not collapse if we do not get players in as we have lots of good footballers at this club."
