Jackson was St Johnstone's leading scorer last season
St Johnstone striker Andy Jackson is facing another frustrating spell on the sidelines, after picking up an injury in Saturday's 1-0 win over Livingston.
The 21-year-old, who was the Perth club's top scorer last season, collapsed off the ball, with an Achilles tear the early diagnosis.
Jackson struggled with illness at the end of the last campaign.
And the Saints forward was forced to miss three months of this term, having returned to action too early.
Jackson made a comeback to the side in late December but now appears set for a number of weeks of rest and rehabilitation.
