Southport trio Shaun Gray, Michael Powell and Ashley Winn have all signed new deals with the club.

Defender Gray, 23, was out of contract, while vice captain Powell, Southport's longest serving player, and midfielder Winn had a year left on their deals.

All three players have signed one-year deals or extensions.

Manager Liam Watson told the club website: "Shaun has the potential to step up and he knows I have real belief in his abilities."

He added: "Michael Powell and Ashley Winn have been given the security they have earned, they know the club has committed to them and everyone knows they are 100% players who will play major roles this season. I want continuity in the squad and these deals indicate that."
