Southend United playing Sturrock's way - Anthony Grant
Grant has scored seven times for Southend since arriving in 2008
Midfielder Anthony Grant says the Southend United squad are finally starting to deliver what is being asked of them by boss Paul Sturrock.
The Shrimpers earned a draw at Shrewsbury on Saturday but have not won since the end of October.
Grant, 24, told BBC Essex: "We had a talk over the last week and everyone is willing to play the gaffer's way.
"The gaffer has got us moving in the right direction, all the players are moving in the same way."
Former Chelsea youngster Grant snatched a point for his side with a late equaliser at Greenhous Meadow, taking his tally of goals for the season to six.
"I thought we were the better team, in recent games we haven't played as a team," he added.
"The gaffer told us to play more as a team and we really did that. We dug in for each other and got a result.
"You're always disappointed about not taking three points but you look at where they are, they were third and unbeaten at home, we'll take the point and move on to Tuesday's game [against Stevenage]."
