Southend United manager Paul Sturrock says he is disappointed at cuts to his backroom staff, but has accepted that finances are tight.
Goalkeeping coach Lee Turner is one of those who have left the League Two club, in what is believed to have been a cost-cutting measure.
Sturrock told BBC Essex: "It's very disappointing at times, finance is an important thing in any football club.
"It goes with the territory in this day and age."
Sturrock added: "I've been to many a football club who are in worse predicaments than Southend Football Club."
