Southend United's leading scorer Barry Corr has set himself the target of 20 goals this season.
The 25-year-old's winner against Lincoln City was the fifth time he has found the net this campaign.
The former Sheffield Wednesday and Swindon forward joined the Blues on a free transfer this summer after being released by Exeter.
"People say we need a 20 goal a season striker, I'm here and I think I can do that," he told BBC Essex.
"We play the way I like to play, there's lots of crosses in the box and I think I'll score goals."
Corr was taken off at half-time after picking up an injury just before the kick-off.
"I hurt myself in the warm-up just taking a shot, it got worse as the game went on so I think to be on the side of caution I came off early."
