Southend United have revealed some of their staff have not received their full wages for May.
The club say this is down to funds not reaching them before the payroll date and all employees will be paid in full.
The Shrimpers also confirmed they would be making staff cuts with "potentially 10%" of personnel being made redundant.
Commercial director Ian Riddoch added: "These measures, together with new investment and stadium plans, ensure Southend has a great future."
The club are still under a transfer embargo imposed by the Football League after the Professional Footballers' Association paid their players' wages for January.
Despite this the club added: "Plans are already underway to strengthen the squad prior to the embargo being lifted."
The last few months have been turbulent for Southend after they staved off a winding-up order from the High Court in April, but were unable to avoid relegation from League One at the end of the season.
