Barrett says his side should be pushing for the play-offs

Southend United captain Adam Barrett says the Blues are frustrated at not being higher up League One.

They have now slipped to 12th after a run of six winless league games but do have an FA Cup tie against Chelsea to look forward to.

Barrett told BBC Essex: "We want to be in the play-offs and we're frustrated but it's up to us to put it right."

Southend reached the play-offs last season and were tipped to at least repeat that effort this term.
