Southend United have turned down another offer from League Two side Brentford for Charlie MacDonald.
The former Ebbsfleet striker, 27, has been on the transfer list at Roots Hall since the end of last season.
The Bees were the first club to show an interest in the former Charlton trainee but have now had two bids rebuffed.
The Shrimpers also turned down Cambridge United's offer for MacDonald, while last week the player decided against a move to Morecambe.
