The 17-year-old former Arsenal trainee, who was with the Gunners from the age of nine, has signed a two-year deal six months after moving to Roots Hall.

"Peggy is a young player with an old head on young shoulder," assistant boss Paul Brush told the club website.

"He doesn't look out of place in the first-team and we felt it was the right time to him down to a contract."
