Premiership side Fulham have had a bid for Northern Ireland defender Chris Baird rejected by Southampton manager George Burley. Burley said the offer for Baird, 25, had been much too low and warned former NI boss Lawrie Sanchez not to bother coming back with an improved bid. "Fulham made a derisory offer - a ridiculous amount of money for somebody of Chris's quality," said Burley. "We have got no thoughts whatsoever of letting Chris go."
