Danny O'Donnell is being released by Shrewsbury Town after the club decided not to extend his contract.
The defender, 24, signed a six-month deal in August, having joined Town in August following his release by Crewe.
But injuries have limited O'Donnell, who worked his way up the ranks at Liverpool before joining Crewe, to just seven appearances.
"Danny was unfortunate to get injured when he was doing well early in the season," said Town boss Graham Turner.
As well as his four league starts, O'Donnell scored the equaliser when Town came from three down to beat Charlton Athletic 4-3 in the Carling Cup.
