Shrewsbury have signed Dutch midfielder Benjamin van den Broek.
The 22-year-old right-sided former HFC Haarlem player agreed to join the Shrews after impressing boss Paul Simpson in training.
Simpson told the club website: "He is an attack-minded player, is a good size, young, and in a way we've taken a little bit of a punt on him.
"He had other good offers to go to clubs in Europe, better offers, but he has a dream to play in England."
