Shrewsbury Town defender Kelvin Langmead has signed a new two-year deal at the club.

Langmead joined from Preston North End in December 2004 and is the club's longest-serving current player.

Manager Paul Simpson told the club website: "I'm delighted Kelvin has pledged his future to the club for another two years."

Striker Omer Riza is also due to sign a new one-year deal on Friday to stay at the Prostar Stadium.

The 29-year-old Londoner had been prevented from playing football anywhere after being banned by the Turkish Football Federation for walking out on Trabzonspor, but Fifa granted him permission to play after an appeal.
