Daniels' penalty saves in the play-offs took Shrewsbury to Wembley

Shrewsbury manager Paul Simpson has said it is unlikely that West Brom goalkeeper Luke Daniels will return to the Prostar Stadium.

Daniels spent the season on loan with the Shrews, ending with an appearance in the League Two play-off final.

Simpson told BBC Radio Shropshire: "They want to keep him, but there are rumours about a change of manager.

"It's something I'll keep my eye on - but while a return is unlikely, you just never know in football."

Simpson confirmed that he is looking for a new goalkeeper, as well as a number of other players to strengthen his squad.
