Shrewsbury Town boss Paul Simpson described his side's shock 3-1 FA Cup defeat at Blyth Spartans as the lowest point of his career.
"That performance embarrassed me as a manager," he told BBC Radio Shropshire. "It was close to shameful.
"To be a good footballer you need to be brave and positive, but far too many of our players weren't.
"We seem to go from one extreme to another and, in the cold light of day, we need to find out why."

Striker Grant Holt, who scored a late consolation for Shrewsbury, was singled out by Simpson as the only player to make any impression.
And he denied the side headed for the North East simply expecting to win.
"There was no complacency," he said. "We knew it would be tough.
"But, when you have that many players underperforming, you're only going to get one result."
