Lee happy with Shrewsbury switch

Graeme Lee
Graeme Lee - new-found confidence in the Shrews backline

Central defender Graeme Lee believes his recent move to Shrewsbury Town is a turning point in his career.

Lee is midway through an initial month's loan from Doncaster and he is keen to make that move a permanent one.

It's been an injury-hit season for the experienced Lee but he told BBC Radio Shropshire: "I feel fit, stronger, and on the way back up.

"Sometimes it's hard to get used to new team-mates but the whole defence has worked well together since I arrived."

Lee has hit it off with his fellow centre-back Kelvin Langmead and believes Shrewsbury are on the way up under manager Paul Simpson, who also only recently arrived at the club.

He said: "Kelvin's a good player and has impressed me, but then so have the others."

And Lee added: "He (Simpson) is a good manager and passionate in what he believes.

"Like me, he's getting to know the lads - but he's getting across to them what he wants and it'll soon pay off."
