Recent signing Kevin McIntyre feels he is slotting perfectly into his new midfield role at Shrewsbury. The 30-year-old played mainly at left-back for former club Macclesfield, but he said he feels stronger and more positive in his new role.
McIntyre told BBC Radio Shropshire: "Central midfield is my type of position - getting stuck in and breaking things up.
"I can also get forward a bit more, and I do prefer it here."
He has already been praised by Town manager Gary Peters for his performances, but added: "I think I can get better as the season goes on."

McIntyre is also delighted to be playing for the Shrews and said: "No disrespect to Macclesfield, but Shrewsbury are a more progressive club that's going places.
"You only have to look at the new stadium and the great fan base they have to see that."
McIntyre has been carrying an injury, but refuses to duck out of the action.
"He's certainly resilient," said Peters. "A throwback to the old days of the hard-knock brigade."
